This list is intended to keep you updated with local organisations in South Gloucestershire and Bristol and what they are doing about the Coronavirus.

Although we are trying to keep this list up-to date we do recommend you check the organisations website and social media accounts for the latest information and changes.

Information about COVID-19 in multiple languages

Doctors of the World have produced Coronavirus (COVID-19) advice in 20 languages, which were produced in partnership with the Red Cross, Migrant Help and Clear Voice. Advice can be found HERE in the following languages:

Patchway Town Council

It is with regret that we will have to postpone the following events due to Coronavirus, in line with Government Advice:

- All Council and Committee meetings until further notice

- Defibrillator training on 24th March

- VE Day Celebrations on 9th May

- All bookings in The Casson Centre until further notice

Patchway Festival Committee have postponed their Robbie Williams tribute night on 18th April. Refunds are available by emailing patchway.festival@hotmail,com but there will be a new date.

Both the Wednesday and Thursday lunch clubs have been cancelled until further notice.


South Glos Libraries 20/03/20

All libraries are now closed - including OpenAccess - due to COVID-19. Loan periods have been extended to 1 July & no fines will be charged during this period. More on fb: bit.ly/2Wrs8Ru


Bristol Libraries

It’s just been announced that all #Bristol #Libraries will close from Thursday 19 March until further notice. You need a #LibraryCard to access online resources which will remain open. If you don’t have one, get one on Wednesday.

Active Lifestyle Centres 18/03/20

We would like to reassure all customers that all Active Centre's remain open.

Our facilities will be kept to a high standard of cleanliness and we ask all customers to do the same when visiting the centres.

Arts and Craft 4 – Staple Hill 17/03/20

I have a duty of care to all those that attend group and it's with a heavy heart that at this time I am postponing group untill we are in a safe enough environment, I am sorry to those that rely on our group but it is a serious situation we are all in, with that being said I am running online video chats on monday around group time in place of a physical group, we will be back at library soon hopefully


Bean Tree Cafe 18/03/20

We are taking things day by day...today we have started hatch only service and put our tables out with lots of space between...

Looks like our lovely customers are sticking to the social part more than the distancing and put them all together! 😂

We are open again tomorrow with hatch only service. X

Creative Youth Network 18/03/20

Following the most recent government advice, we are now closing our open access youth work sessions for young people.

For the time being, our one to one targeted support and small group sessions are ongoing.

Our reception at the Kingswood Estate is closed but you can still get in touch with us through telephone and by email: 0117 947 7948 & info@creativeyouthnetwork.org.uk

We are also cancelling room and venue hires to avoid mass gatherings in our buildings.

#StationBristol is now only open for those who have pre-booked appointments in the building and will shut at 7pm Mon-Fri.


CVS South Gloucestershire

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus, CVS South Gloucestershire and our conference partners The Care Forum and South Gloucestershire Council are postponing our conference this year.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused but hope to re-organise this event for the Autumn.

STAY SAFE/KEEP IN TOUCH While our face-to-face services are closed, all clients and residents will still be able to get information, advice and guidance via Facebook and phone support. Delivery of needle exchange and Naloxone will also be available for our most vulnerable clients



FACE - Filton

We are reviewing sessions on a daily basis, monitoring staffing capabilities and guidance from PHE.

We are able to monitor and maintain our centre’s cleanliness and follow all guidance at our sites however we need everyone else to take guidance seriously and maintain hand washing and self-isolation should there be symptoms of cough/fever.

We will be updating risks and monitoring sessions on a daily basis.


Friends of Page Park

The Friends of Page Park have produced this pack of learning materials, (pdf file attached), mainly for local primary schools and early years settings. We hope some of the resources, and activities included, will also be of interest to families wishing to explore Page Park with new ideas for getting the most out of a visit.

Kingswood Museum

COVID-19 UPDATE: Following Government Guidelines, the Trustees of KHM today took the difficult decision to shut the Museum until further notice. This includes all groups and any event where the public could be gathering.


Learning Partnership West

We are monitoring guidance from the government extremely closely and following all recommended protocol. Therefore,our school and community services remain open. If we are advised to close,we have plans in place to work remotely so we can continue supporting children & young people.

Music with Mummy in Bradley Stoke, Stoke Gifford and Patchway‎ 

EXCITING NEWS!!!!! Jolly Babies, Music with Mummy and Three Four Time in Bradley Stoke and Stoke Gifford have gone online! From 18th March all lessons until further notice, will be through my private Facebook groups, it's SO EXCITING!!!! If you would like to join us for the rest of the term, please get in touch via my website "contact me" form. There is NO REASON to stop singing!!! National Trust 18/03/20

The National Trust is closing its houses, shops and cafes but aims to keep its parks, gardens and open spaces in the countryside and coastal regions open free of charge.

Somerset & Avon Rape & Sexual Abuse Support

Our helpline will be **closed tonight - Tuesday 17 March** as we work out how we can best support our service users in the coming weeks. We have some really good ideas and we will update you through our website and social media platforms in the coming days.


Staple Hill Community Hub 18/03/20

Sadly due to the current circumstances Lunch Club will be suspended. The Staple Hill Community Hub will of course still do our best to support the community so please don't hesitate to contact us if there may be something we can help with. This is a rapidly changing situation that we are keeping a close eye on and will update where necessary. I have seen some wonderful, positive things out and about, thank you, our community is incredible.


Talking Money

For the safety of our clients & staff during this time we are, unfortunately, closing all of our face to face services until further notice. All appointments will be carried out over the phone. If you would like to access our services please call our advice number on 0117 9543990.


The Hive Avon

In view of government guidance from 4 o'clock today we will be suspending all of our services for the foreseeable future in order to keep our service users safe. We will keep you updated on our re-opening date via our website and social media.


The Hub & Cameron Centre Lockleaze

We have made the difficult decision to close The Hub and Cameron Centre until further notice, following government guidance and our desire to keep our community members safe.
