Food Alliance

The South Gloucestershire Food Alliance

If you are part of an organisation that provides free or low-cost food to your community then you should join the Food Alliance. To join, email louisedelmege@southernbrooks.org.uk

We meet once a month, on a Monday from 12-1, on Zoom. The Agendas are released in advance, with timings, so you can join just for the bits that are relevant to you.

The South Gloucestershire Food Alliance will bring together the Community Food Providers across the area, encouraging better communication, collaboration and strategic thinking.

What members think of the Food Alliance

"The Food Alliance meetings are an opportunity to discover more about what else is going on to support access to food across South Glos.  It is an opportunity to meet different people involved and consider what might useful for your own situation.

It is really helpful to be updated about the wider picture of food need and food provision, and to get an idea about future trends.

As a result of being part of the Food Alliance, our small, semi-rural Mutual Aid Group has begun working with our local supermarket, received training and funding from South Glos, and has worked with our local housing association to launch a new project called 'Let's Get Cooking'."
