We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people in the local community to access volunteering opportunities. You have experience of working with and being a volunteer, and understand how valuable a good volunteering experience can be.
To develop, promote and co-ordinate the work of the volunteer centre across the areas of Yate, Chipping Sodbury and locality and contribute to the development of Volunteer Centre Partnership South Gloucestershire.
The primary purposes of this role are to:
- Co-ordinate the Volunteer Centre activities in Yate, Chipping Sodbury and locality
- Build connections with voluntary organisations, groups and charities in the area
- Enable students and unemployed people to access appropriate volunteering opportunities
You will join a partnership of volunteer centres across South Gloucestershire and work closely with them.

Children, Adult and Family Support Worker
Hours of work: 35 hours a week Fixed term to 31st March 2018 with extension subject to fundin
Salary: £23,247 - £23,690 pro rata for 35 hours per week.
To work with children, young people, families and vulnerable adults referred to our service. This will be done through working holistically and addressing barriers that prevent them reaching their full potential.
Objectives include; * Improving health and well-being * Increasing attendance and engagement in school * Preparing children to be school ready * Improving family relationships * Providing opportunities for new experiences and learning * Improved behaviour * Preparing people to become work ready through CV writing, volunteering opportunities and * Improving financial well-being

Apprentice Chef - Patchway
based at Coniston Community Centre for 30 hours per week for 12 months. Due to funding we can only offer this to Merlin Housing Association residents.
To gain experience and adhere to training from the Cafe Manager and team, working in a professional working kitchen to learn all aspects of catering as desired and instructed. Full training and support will be given.
