One You South Glos Community Grant
One You South Gloucestershire is an integrated healthy lifestyles service led by South Gloucestershire Council. Part of this service includes a Wellbeing element, which is delivered by Southern Brooks Community Partnerships and other partners.
This Wellbeing programme includes The One You South Glos Community Grant. This is a small grant scheme, which can award £14,500 per annum in total across all applicants, and includes a contribution from St Monica Trust. Grant application requests can be between £50 - £1,000.
Applying for grants between £50 - £100
Small grants of under £100 can be submitted anytime.
We will usually be able to process and approve small grants quickly.
Applying for grants between £100 - £1000
If the grant request is for more than £100 then you should submit it before 9am, Monday 1st March 2021.
There will be an opportunity to submit grant applications throughout the year and the deadlines will be added to this page in the future.
We hope to notify you of the outcome 4 weeks after the closing date, once it has been approved by our board members.
The purpose of the grants is to reduce the five leading risk factors that contribute to reduced quality of life, early death and health inequalities in South Gloucestershire. Please see the Guidance Notes above for more details of these risk factors.
Our approach is to build community resilience by helping people set up and sustain groups that address health inequalities and build on their skills and interests, with small grants for local initiatives to improve health and wellbeing.
To apply, you need to be a community group with a constitution and a bank account. If you don’t have this, CVS South Gloucestershire can help. To contact the CVS please call 01454 865205 or email email@example.com Or perhaps an existing group would manage the funds on your behalf, whilst you get set up.
For this financial year, the grants will be distributed through four panels, and all funding needs to be spent by March 31st 2021.
We plan to distribute 60% of the funding to:
- BME groups
- Disabled people
- People who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender
- People who have low incomes
- Groups working with men
- People with long term health conditions
- People who live in the neighbourhoods of Cadbury Heath, Patchway, Staple Hill, Yate and Kingswood
