Physical Activity Link Worker

We're looking for a friendly, experienced health coach to join our small team of Physical Activity Link Workers. Working across South Gloucestershire, you will  support people to become more physically active using a person centred, judgement-free approach, build confidence and emotional resilience, and connect them to their community.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to people, based on what is important to them, to improve their levels of ‘activation’ including addressing the wider determinants of health (debt, poor housing, un/under-employment).
  • Manage and prioritise a caseload in accordance with people’s needs and priorities.
  • Establish effective working relationships with a range of agencies to facilitate a joined up approach to people’s action plans.
  • Work flexibly, adapting to the needs of the service and client group while maintaining the integrity of the role.

To be suitable for this role, you will have a Coaching, Counselling or other relevant qualification, or significant experience in this area of work, as well as knowledge and skills in creatively providing a range of physical activities and understanding how this links with positive health and wellbeing.

As a vital member of our team and in return for your passion, inclusive approach and commitment, we will provide a salary of £27,401 (pro rata), excellent annual leave and sickness benefits, and will even give you the day off for your birthday!

Apply and register your interest in this Physical Activity Link Worker role by 9am on Wednesday 21st May 2025.

Interviews will be held week commencing 2nd June 2025.
