These online sessions are run by Carers Support Centre on behalf of Southern Brooks Community Partnerships and South Gloucestershire Council.
You must be a South Gloucestershire resident or be registered with a GP in South Gloucestershire to book on these events.

Caring with Confidence - During Corona Time
This course will help carers to build a better understanding of what services are out there for you during this difficult time. It aims to increase your confidence in making decisions, working with professionals and getting the practical support you need. It also teaches techniques to deal with stress and emphasises the importance of looking after yourself. Topics covered include juggling life and caring, stress management, good health for carers, rights and resources and effective communication.
The course will be delivered online, via Zoom, over five weeks with two sessions per week from 11.00 to 12.15 p.m.

Stress Management for Carers
This workshop will help you recognise some of the signs of stress, give you an opportunity to share your experiences and show you some techniques you can practice.
The workshop will be delivered online, via Zoom, over two sessions: Monday 1st June and Friday 5th June, from 1.00 to 2.15 p.m.
Introduction to Mindfulness for Carers - Part 1
This workshop will introduce participants to techniques that focus on being ‘in the moment’, relaxed and receptive. You will be taught simple techniques you can continue to practice together at home with the person you care for or on your own.
The workshop will be delivered online, via Zoom, over two sessions: Monday 20th July and Friday 24th July, from 11.00 to 12.15 p.m.
Introduction to Mindfulness for Carers - Part 2
This workshop will help carers to develop the techniques learnt on the 'Introduction to mindfulness' workshop and develop this meditation practice, focusing on being ‘in the moment’, relaxed and receptive. You will work on techniques you can continue to practice together at home with the person you care for or on your own.
In order to attend this workshop, participants should have attended an 'Introduction to mindfulness' workshop, online or face-to-face.
The workshop will be delivered online, via Zoom, over two sessions: Monday 10th August and Friday 14th August, from 11.00 to 12.15 p.m.
