Online Wellbeing Courses for Carers
These online sessions are run by Carers Support Centre on behalf of Southern Brooks Community Partnerships and South Gloucestershire Council.
You must be a South Gloucestershire resident or be registered with a GP in South Gloucestershire to book on these events.

You can join the workshops advertised below using most devices with a browser such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. A link and meeting ID to securely access the workshop, and a guide on how to use Zoom will be provided when your booking has been confirmed.
Caring and Understanding Dementia - Online Course
This course is for anyone caring for someone with dementia and aims to give a better understanding of dementia and its effects. Carers can gain confidence in making decisions about their caring role and managing their own health and well-being. It also teaches techniques to deal with stress and emphasises the importance of looking after yourself. Topics covered include juggling life and caring, stress management, good health for carers, rights and resources and effective communication.
This course will help you to build a better understanding of what services are out there for you during this difficult time.
The course will take place over 5 weeks with 2 sessions per week. Carers are required to attend all sessions:
- Tuesday, 13th and Thursday, 15th April 2021 from 1.30 – 2.30 pm
- Tuesday, 20th and Thursday, 22nd April 2021 from 1.30 – 2.30 pm
- Tuesday, 27th and Thursday, 29th April 2021 from 1.30 – 2.30 pm
- Tuesday, 4th May and Thursday, 6th May 2021 from 1.30 – 2.30 pm
- Tuesday, 11th May and Thursday, 13th May 2021 from 1.30 – 2.30 pm
