Relax & Revive - Evening Online Meditation
During these online sessions, we are going to learn how to cope with anxiety, boost self-esteem, manage stress by going through a wide variety of meditation techniques, such as breathing, visualisations, concentration and self-observations exercises including mindfulness practices.
You do not need to have any previous experience, these sessions are suitable for all ages.
The course is non-religious.
This is a 6-week course and different themes and practices will be covered throughout the weeks. The course will be held every week on Thursday 8pm-9pm starting on 21st May.
You will need a relatively quiet space where you can be undisturbed for an hour. Wear loose, comfortable clothing!
You can meditate either in a sitting position on a comfy chair or in lying position on a mat/carpet/floor. A cushion and a blanket can be useful, but not necessary.
As sessions run online clients need a laptop with a microphone, a webcam is not essential.
The class is accessible on tablets and phone with most browsers.
One You South Gloucestershire is for all adults over the age of 18 who are South Gloucestershire residents or registered with a GP practice in South Gloucestershire.
These sessions are run by Southern Brooks Community Partnerships on behalf of South Gloucestershire Council.
