We're looking for a one full-time or two part-time Community Development Coordinators to join our energetic, passionate Community Development team. Based in Patchway or Brabazon - a growing community on the site of the old Filton Airfield -, you will work with local residents, agencies and partners to bring people together through activities and events to ensure Patchway and Brabazon are great places to live.
Being out and about in the community, there's a huge range of fun and exciting things that you will be involved in, and no two days are the same.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Provide community leadership working in partnership with local groups.
- Raise funding to support community development.
- Engage and involve people, agencies, and partners so that people feel they can influence decision making and that their voice is important.
- Advocate volunteering by sharing best practice and supporting people to access local opportunities.
To be suitable for this role, you need to have significant experience of work (in a paid or voluntary capacity) within communities, an understanding of community development practices and principles, and be an excellent communicator with the ability to build good relationships with a range of people from local residents to community groups to local Councillors.
