We’re looking for a dynamic leader and strategic thinker who is passionate about community empowerment and creating fairer, sustainable communities to join our Senior Leadership Team in a new Head of Community role, leading on key elements of our strategy and helping to ensure that Southern Brooks is a safe sustainable caring well run organisation.

The SLT holds specific responsibilities, which include:

• Service and business development
• Employee and programme management
• Partnerships and stakeholder relationships
• Leadership and governance
  

You will use your in-depth understanding and practical experience of Asset-Based Community Development to champion this approach across South Gloucestershire and support a Fairer South Glos, as well as manage the Community Team with support from the team leader, supporting and coaching the team to deliver on the strategy.

Drawing on your proven track record in strategic leadership, you will use your clear understanding and practice in Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) to lead both strategic development and practical application of our community development offer for existing and new opportunities, and work with the team leader on tackling inequality and embedding community cohesion into everything we do. You will develop strong partnerships and relationships across South Gloucestershire to further our mission, be responsible for income generation and part of the senior leadership responsible for governance and good practice in the organisation.
