Green Spaces News!

The Green Spaces project has been busy making the most of the sunshine and rain we’ve had over the past few weeks.

At Arlingham Way Pocket Park our Wild Flower Corner has come up beautifully and residents celebrated with a BBQ and mural painting as part of the Patchway Festival.

At Patchway Youth Centre we have grown loads of vegetables including beans, peas, courgettes, radish and lots of different salds. The young people have (mostly!) enjoyed tasting and cooking with their produce.

And Blakeney Road Community Allotment is in full bloom. Remember you can join us there every Friday from 10am-12pm to get involved, meet new people and learn new things with our lovely group.

Southern Brooks have also entered a Pea Growing Competition through Cully and Sully, check out our desk growing peas on twitter #givepeasachance

Look out for more community planting days coming soon…in September we will be sprinkling Spring flowering bulbs around Patchway to brighten up the new year.
