Wellbeing Group Facilitator

Southern Brooks is looking for a new Wellbeing Group Facilitator to join a brand-new project. Community Health Promotion Hubs are an exciting new initiative in South Gloucestershire.

The hubs will welcome a small group of people who share the same long-term health conditions, including obesity and anxiety. People will have the opportunity to talk with each other to share experiences, partake in a simple and fun physical activity and learn more about managing their conditions. They may set goals to make some positive lifestyle changes if they choose - the hubs are person-centred in their approach.

As a Wellbeing Group Facilitator, you will work closely in a team of three people. You will be required to facilitate the hubs on your own at times, so a positive demeanour and the ability to manage a group is essential.

If you were already in this role, you might be doing some of these things this week:

  • Line-manage the Health & Wellbeing Coach
  • Deliver a short physical activity
  • Support peer discussions around a specific long term health condition
  • Work with individuals to improve their wellbeing, confidence, and self-esteem

To apply, you will need at least 2 years’ experience working with people with health and social needs, or community-based work..

As a vital member of our team and in return for your passion, empathy, and desire to support clients to lead healthier and happier lives in a non-judgemental way, we will provide a favourable salary of £27,722 pro-rata, excellent annual leave and sickness benefits, and will even give you the day off for your birthday! And you will join a passionate, inclusive, committed and welcoming workplace.

Apply and register your interest in this Wellbeing Group Facilitator position in South Gloucestershire by 5pm on Thursday 15th February 2024.

Interviews will be held on 22nd or 23rd February 2024.
